WELCOME TO CAPE TOWN

THE MOTHER CITY

Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor and boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum.

Cape Town, nicknamed the Mother City, is South Africa's oldest city. It serves as the country's legislative capital, being the seat of its Parliament. It is the country's second-largest city (after Johannesburg) and the largest in the Western Cape. The city is known for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, and for landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point.

A full day wine tour for a small group. Includes chocolate, cheese, restaurant lunch and cellar tour.

Visit 3 legendary wine estates and learn about the history of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek as we explore the Oak Lane Avenues of the olderst towns in South Africa.

One of the best days you'll ever have in South Africa. This all in one wine tour covers everything you must see and taste in the Cape Winelands.

Start your V&A (Victoria & Alfred) Waterfront experience with a guided walking tour. The waterfront is part of Cape Town's working harbor, which dates back to 1654, when the first jetty was built by famous Dutch Colonist Jan Van Riebeeck.

Your guid will introduce you to the landmarks that make the area's history, including the Clock Tower, the New Port Captain's Offince, the Pumphouse (from which the continent's first electric lights we powered) and the Robinson Dry Dock (the first of its kind in South Africa).

Tours last approximately 1.5-hours and depart daily from Chavonnes Battery Museum at 11:00 AM and 14:00 PM. Tickets cost R150 per person, and are free for children younger than 5-years old.

The Food Market opens out onto Nobel Square, a lively public space at the heart of the V&A Waterfront, perfect for picnicking, people-watching, and enjoying the district's talented street performers. There are large trestle tables arranged along the market side, where you can eat elbow-to-elbow with native Capetonians and fellow visitors. The square is named for the four bronze statues of South Africa’s Nobel Peace Prize laureates that stand along the edge closest to the water. These life-size representations of Nelson Mandela, Albert Luthuli, Desmond Tutu, and F.W. de Klerk make for a wonderful photo opportunity, especially on clear days when Table Mountain is visible in the background.

Cape Town has one of the best locations to see the Sunset from the Sea. With the Atlantic Ocean stretching away from the majestic Table Mountain range, this is certainly a ‘must do’ cruise for locals and tourists alike. A complimentary glass of local sparkling wine (two glasses per guest, or a bottle for a couple) will be served, and the bar will be open for all other drinks for the duration of the cruise.

Upmarket Camps Bay draws crowds to its namesake beach, known for its fine white sand, natural rock swimming pool and views of the Twelve Apostles mountains. Behind the beach, posh seafood restaurants, mellow cafes and cocktail bars with patios overlook the promenade. Nearby, Promenade Mall has boutiques selling fashion and beachwear, while the intimate Theatre on the Bay stages drama, musicals and comedy.

Table Mountain is the most iconic landmark of South Africa. It is also the country’s most photographed attraction and its famous cable car took millions of people to its top. Table Mountain has become the single most welcoming icon to not only our people, but travellers from all over the world. It is much more than a scenic photograph background or a place from where you can take a breathtaking photo of Cape Town.
